Kitchen Front

The Kitchen Front was a weekday early morning five-minute BBC radio broadcast, which aired during the Second World War. It was a way for the Ministry of Food to give the public guidance about the healthiest way of feeding themselves and get the most out of their rations.

I have collected over the past few years many pamphlets and books on wartime cooking filled with hundreds of frugal and filling recipes, which kept Britain fighting fit during the constrictions of rationing.  Below are the ones I have cooked up so far, along with some traditional family favourites from my childhood and some more modern vegan alternatives.
Why not give them at try!
